Week 1. Drop it before you shop it

I recently asked myself, am I a shopaholic? After a quick google search the answer turned out to be no. I am not a shopaholic, I do not do it out of fear or sadness. But… well, then it is a hobby that has gotten out of hand and is expensive.
My name is Nina, I'm 29 years old and my favorite room in the house is the walk-in closet. Sad? Maybe, but I don't give a shit.
Mindless spending
What does bother me is the enormous amount of items that I buy almost without thinking. Because if I'm honest, it's not necessary. And then we haven't even talked about the fashion pollution that I contribute to. I have enough nice and good clothes. That one pair of boots or that new bag doesn't suddenly make my collection (yes, I see it as a collection) complete.
The challenge
Time for a test. Buy nothing for two months. No clothes. No shoes. No bags. For someone else, maybe not a challenge. For me, yes. Do I feel like it? No. Will I make it? No idea. Am I serious? Hell yeah.
So, in my own way, I'm dry for the month of May and June. As support for myself, I write about my challenge every week and take you with me on my quest for shop independence by dealing with my wardrobe more sustainably
